Indoor shelter and flight cage

Bikers for Animals is an organization dedicated to combating all forms of animal suffering. 

Their main activity is rescuing, housing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs, particularly those from commercial breeding operations and illegal trade. Additionally, Bikers for Animals (BfA) serves as a sanctuary for older dogs that can no longer be placed in homes.

BFA was established in 2010 and now has locations in Lelystad and Borgsweer (Groningen). 

In addition to rescue efforts, significant attention is also given to informing government agencies and confronting them about injustices.

Our help is sometimes requested by the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) and the animal police. The Belgian FOD also knows how to find us.

Against any form of animal suffering
In principle, BfA is committed to combating any form of animal suffering, so there is also room to rescue -other- animals from dire situations, provide them with medical care, and rehabilitate them. For most of these animals, we do our best to rehome them and give them a second chance at a loving life. Unfortunately, for some animals this is not possible; they receive a permanent place in our shelter.

Doves
Besides dogs, there is also room for other animals, such as pigeons in Borgsweer, Groningen. Of course, space must be made for adapted care. BFA therefore called upon Abri voor Dieren for the design/renovation of an indoor shelter and flight cage.
